We had Web 1 in the initial phase, which contained static web pages that delivered content from the server’s file system. Web 1 enabled internet users to access data from practically any location on the planet. Web 1, on the other hand, does not have any features for interacting with content. As a result, web 2 began to gain popularity, and the following discovery of shortcomings in web 2 led to the development of web 3.0. To successfully comprehend the differences, let us first learn about Web 2 and Web 3 before answering the question, “What is the difference between Web 2 and Web 3?”

Web 2 is the current form of the Internet that we are all familiar with. Web 3 is a future internet concept that will be decentralized.

Web 3 also known as the semantic web signifies the next iteration or phase in the growth of the web/Internet and has the potential to be as disruptive and constitute a paradigm shift as Web 2. Web 3 is based on the fundamental ideals of decentralization, openness, and increased consumer utility.

Computers will be able to analyze information in a more human-like manner, and consumers will be provided with more personalized content and experiences through the usage of technologies such as Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Augmented Reality (AR), and Virtual Reality (VR).
